Description of Program:
An experiential workshop
Metaphor is a really powerful coaching technique that is often underutilized and forgotten if our coaching clients emphasize their need for fast results. Exploring a metaphor takes time and courage but it pays off by both deepening and broadening the client’s awareness and enables them to achieve better and more sustainable results.
We believe that metaphors
- help clients simplify the complex
- increase their familiarity and comfort with the unknown
- help clients verbalize experiences that are difficult to put into words
- reduce fear by making it easier to relate to the situation at hand
In this program participants will:
- learn tools and techniques to use metaphors in coaching
- explore the different meanings, interpretations, of various metaphors
- apply these metaphors to reflect on themselves, their businesses, etc.
Both beginner and more seasoned coaches are welcome to this program.
Please come with a personal question or challenge with which you would like to practice the use of metaphor.
Expect a highly experiential and reflective two hours.
