What members are saying about our Virtual Presentations:

I have heard lots of calls, and this was one of the most interesting I have ever heard. Congratulations! ~ Betsy

I’m so happy that I was able to join your session this afternoon on Polarity Management. I can see myself using this with my own tensions/polarities and also in my organization.  All in all, super! ~ Kathy

Thanks so much for the polarity teleconference today. It was such a treat to hear your voice and the way you express the ideas and application of polarities. You did a great job fielding questions and turning those questions into learning opportunities for the whole group. ~ Elizabeth

So well done, both of you. A first class workshop, the hour sped by, and excellent participation. ~ Vicki

Today’s call was fascinating, I feel as though we just barely skimmed the surface. I’d love to dive in! ~ Lainie

About

ICF New Mexico is a vibrant community of professional coaches who practice in a variety of specializations in all parts of the state. We are a charter chapter and closely aligned with the International Coach Federation (ICF), the premier professional organization for coaches.

Professional Environment WordCloud

Our chapter has several purposes, among them to foster the following:

1) Local Networking:

  • Learn about and share opportunities.
  • Collaborate in providing resources and solutions to clients.
  • Discuss issues of professional concern with members who understand the highlights and challenges of being a coach.

2)  Professional growth and CCEU’s through educational programs.

3) Leadership opportunities.

Here in our state, ICF New Mexico offers a community for practicing coaches through regular programs and events, chapter communications, and advancement of the profession of coaching in the local community. We have over 50 ICF-enrolled members of our chapter, along with additional associates.

ICF NM Leadership Team

The Work of ICF

Since it was formed in 1995 the non-profit ICF has grown to more than 18,000 members worldwide in 110 countries, with 120 chapters in over 50 countries. ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high professional standards, providing independent certification, and building a network of credentialed coaches. The ICF exists to support and advance the coaching profession through programs and standards supported by members and to be an authoritative source on coaching information and research for the public.

To Build. . .The ICF maintains a high visibility for the profession through public relations, publicity campaigns, marketing strategies and the Coach Referral Service (CRS). The CRS is an independent, non-profit ICF service which makes it easy for people to find the right coach for their needs.

To Support. . .The ICF develops and implements programs that assist in the professional development of its membership. In addition to the professional development opportunities of global and regional conferences, the ICF provides professional growth opportunities through its local, regional and virtual chapters throughout the world. Continual support is available through the ICF Web site and publications.

To Preserve. . .The ICF developed and promotes an industry-wide Code of Professional Standards. ICF also developed the first universally accepted Certification process which will preserve the integrity of coaching through standardized credentials that assist consumers in choosing professional coaches, as well as a stringent Accreditation process for coach training programs.

President’s Message

Welcome to ICF New Mexico, a chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Our vision is to be the professional organization of choice for New Mexico coaches who desire a dynamic community to grow, learn, support and develop trusting relationships. Since joining ICF New Mexico, I’ve found my people: talented, dynamic coaches who are eager to advance the profession and create a community of peers.

During 2021 we’ll be focusing on increasing participation across the chapter, strengthening relationships among members, developing our board, and serving more coaches.

Some ways we’ll bring this to life include:

  • Providing a robust diverse series of programs and facilitating discussions to the end business building and some coach education programs to allow deeper exploration with each other.
  • Expanding volunteer opportunities and perks including adding two board members at large and helping with planning our fall workshop!
  • Starting a blog on our website to increase visibility, inspiration, and education for members and associates articles. Learn more about submitting a post.

What would you like to see? I believe our greatest achievements will come by enabling our members to bring their passions and visions to life.

I’d love to discuss the possibilities with you!
Lisa Brewer, ICF New Mexico President
