November 2024 Newsletter

Greetings Coaches!

For the past year, you've heard us talk repeatedly about succession planning as a core driver for ICF New Mexico's sustainability. I'm thrilled to share that many of you answered the call, resulting in a robust group of chapter volunteers joining our Board.  Thank you to all who voted in our 2025 Board elections!  Please join me in extending a warm welcome to our 2025 Board of Directors:

President:  Deborah Thompson, PCC
Past President: Shelley Lanier, PCC
Treasurer: Kim Kerr
Secretary: Sonja Harris, ACC
Membership Director: Scott Plate, PCC
Professional Development Director: Deborah Stephenson
Business Development Director: Mary-Bernadette Garza
Social Impact Director: Ashley Proud, ACC
Members-At-Large:
Elisa Begueria
Trisha Nakano Bhagen, PCC
LauraLynn Jansen, PCC

Bios for all of our elected 2025 Board Members are available at 2025 Board of Directors. I also want to extend my deepest appreciation to two wonderful humans who are transitioning off the Board at the end of this year.

Ilean Galloway, ACC joined the board in 2023 and has been a tremendous asset to our work. Ilean has championed our Professional Development programming, DEI initiatives at the local and global levels, and has been a driving force in initiating new strategic partnerships for our chapter. She recently initiated a new connection with CNM Ingenuity's Coach Training Program which will further enrich our mutual objectives.

Jodi Hummer, PCC served as our Membership Director this year and brought creative ideas and structure to our membership program. This year she and her team of volunteer Ambassadors actively engaged new members and developed monthly social programming to deepen community connections in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and throughout New Mexico.

Please join me in thanking Jodi and Ilean for their board service to ICF New Mexico!

I also want to thank the many members who joined our virtual Annual Meeting in October. We were thrilled to share information about the state of the chapter and plans for 2025. If you missed it, you can review the recording here: 2024 Annual Meeting Recording. We also submitted our annual chapter report to ICF Global, highlighting the following achievements from September 1, 2023 to August 30, 2024:
  • 118 Global members
  • 78 Credential Holders
  • 26 Programs Offered
  • 21.5 Core Competency and 20.5 Resource Development CCEs offered
This is our final newsletter of the year. On behalf of our entire board, we wish you a happy holiday season - whatever you celebrate. We look forward to seeing you at future events.

As always, please reach out if you have suggestions or questions!

Warm Regards,

Deborah Thompson, PCC
ICF New Mexico President
