March 2025 Newsletter

 Dear Coaches,

As members of the coaching community in New Mexico, we recognize the vital importance of fostering an inclusive environment—one that values and respects the diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences of all individuals. Honoring the uniqueness of our clients and the rich, complex heritage of the land we call home is not just a value we uphold, but a responsibility that strengthens our profession and enhances the impact of our work.

At our most recent meeting, the ICF New Mexico Board of Directors reaffirmed its deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) as a core value. In this time of deep political division in our country, the need for empathy, respect, and meaningful dialogue is more urgent than ever. As coaches, we have a unique opportunity to create spaces where all voices are heard, differences are honored, and understanding is fostered. By prioritizing DEIB, we not only elevate our individual coaching practices but also contribute to a more just and compassionate society—one where everyone is empowered to thrive.

We invite you to join us on this journey. If this commitment resonates with you, we welcome your ideas, insights, and participation. Please reach out—we would love to collaborate.

Together, we can cultivate a coaching community where everyone feels valued, respected, and included.

On behalf of the ICF New Mexico Board of Directors,

Deborah Thompson, PCC
ICF New Mexico President
