May 2025 Newsletter

Greetings Coaches!

This week, we celebrate the 27th anniversary of International Coaching Week (May 12-18), which began in 1999 as a way of celebrating coaching as a profession. There are over 1,200 ICW programs being offered throughout the world, many of which are listed on the International Coaching Week website.

I recently had the honor of interviewing Jerri Udelson, MCC – the founder of International Coaching Week, who proudly lives here in the Land of Enchantment.

I also want to share one of our upcoming programs that I’m particularly excited for - Intention to Action: Building Engagement Across Diverse Settings ,featuring Dr. LauraLynn Jansen and Kenadie Cobbin-Richardson on May 19th. As Coaches, we understand the power of connection and the importance of fostering environments where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued. By embracing cultural intelligence and fostering trust, we, as coaches, can empower individuals and teams to achieve their full potential in a globalized world. I anticipate this will be one of our most important and powerful programs this year. I hope to see you there!

Warm regards,

Deborah Thompson, PCC

Intention to Action: Building Engagement Across Diverse Settings
Date:
May 19, 2025
Time:
11:30am - 1:00pm

This 90-minute virtual webinar invites participants into a reflective and thought-provoking space to explore the roots and realities of engagement across diverse interactions and environments.

Together, we’ll unpack historical racial barriers and systemic challenges and consider how these impact our roles and responsibilities as coaches and leaders. Participants will have the opportunity to examine their own identity lenses, explore the dynamics of power and privilege, and consider how these influence relationships and trust-building.

Through guided reflection and dialogue, this session encourages deeper self-awareness and offers space to strategize how to apply these insights in meaningful, practical ways.

Participants will...
1. Gain insight into historical racial barriers and systemic challenges.
2. Foster deeper self-understanding through exploration of personal identity lenses.
3. Learn about the interplay between power dynamics and privilege.
4. Identify key components for developing trust in professional relationships.
5. Engage in reflective moments and strategize actionable steps based on newfound knowledge
