Biography
Ilean is passionate about building strong and sustainable organizations and communities using applied behavioral science theories and practices. She has over 30 years of experience in building communities of shared purpose within organizations as well as developing leaders who are worthy of their employees’ commitment. She has worked as an internal organization development consultant and coach at companies such as IBM, Dell, Intel and Eisai Inc.
In her coaching practice, Ilean enjoys helping technical professionals make the leap to managerial and executive roles. She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Academically, Ilean has both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She earned a doctoral degree from The George Washington University. She received her coaching certifications at Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and Georgetown University.
One of Ilean’s hobbies is studying the history of jewelry design. Since first seeing the drawings of Wallis Simpson’s jewelry, she has been fascinated by the design of fine jewelry and the associated social context that fuel designers’ artistic expressions. She has studied 18th, 19th, and 20th century European and American jewelry design and gemology at the Gemological Institute of America, Fashion Institute of Technology, and Arizona State University.
