Volunteer with ICF New Mexico

 



ICF New Mexico is a non-profit organization serving coaches throughout New Mexico and beyond. We rely entirely on volunteers to help design, support and deliver programs to advance the professional growth and success of our members – including education, resources, workshops, and access to coaching experts around the world. 

Whether you are an experienced master coach, or just getting started in the profession, volunteering is a great way to learn, grow, and develop close relationships with other coaches who are dedicated to advancing the profession and supporting each other.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Chapter is actively recruiting for the following roles for 2024 and 2025. 
Most volunteer positions request a time commitment of 3-5 hours per month.

Membership Ambassadors

Serves as a regional liaison with current and prospective ICF New Mexico Members and Associates in assigned geographic areas.. Serves as an active member of the Membership Committee, providing input into the overall strategy for our membership program.At a local level, helps to plan and coordinate in-person and virtual opportunities for local members to get together throughout the year.


Credentialing Team

Serves as a liaison for Members seeking information and support for ICF accreditation. Coordinates credentialing study groups, promotes credentialing pathways, and develops opportunities for Members to obtain additional coaching hours.


Volunteer Manager

Supports the volunteer needs for the chapter by identifying, recruiting, supporting and recognizing volunteers. The Volunteer Director promotes open opportunities via the Chapter’s communication channels, and vets candidates to ensure each person is a good fit for the role.


Social Impact Team

Develops opportunities for ICF New Mexico Coaches to partner with and offer pro bono and/or sliding scale coaching for nonprofit and public sector leaders who are striving for positive social change. We believe that when coaching is applied to an organization striving for positive social change, that organization’s impact will increase.


Marketing Team

Develops and implements the Chapter’s marketing, and communication strategies. Responsible for creating vibrant and relevant messaging and visual assets, promoting ICF New Mexico brand awareness, developing and engaging with social media, promoting upcoming events to drive increased attendance, and producing the chapter newsletter in partnership with our chapter Virtual Assistant.


Social Media Coordinators

We’re seeking volunteers who are active on social media, who can devote a few hours each month to helping create and promote the Chapter’s social media messages on Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, and other forums.


Zoom Virtual Programming Tech Support

Do you have MAD technology skills? Master of Zoom? We’re looking for one or two volunteers who are able to run the back-end of Zoom for monthly virtual programs. Responsibilities include logging in 30 minutes before every program to set up tech, support the presenters, trouble-shooting login issues, create and launch polls, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Zoom volunteers are able to attend virtual programs for free.

Strategic Partnership Team

Develops strategic partnerships between ICF New Mexico and New Mexico businesses and community organizations to advance the coaching profession through community/business events, workshops, speaking opportunities, and sponsorships.

Board of Directors Roles

We are currently recruiting candidates to serve in key leadership roles on the Board of Directors for the 2025 Calendar Year. Recruitment occurs year-round, with formal nominations and elections processes occurring in the fall. Board members are required to be members of ICF Global in good standing during the duration of their term in office.
